Genesis 1:1

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.(KJV)
John 1:1 has “The Logos existed in the very begining, the Logos was with God, the Logos was divine.”(Moffat Translation)

Neither of those verses explain how God came into being.
A slightly different issue is if time is:
* Linear;
* Cyclical;
* Rhythmical;
* Something else;

“God created” does not address the issue of how God came into existence, if time is linear. It does, however, explain how God came into existence, if time is either cyclical, or rhythmical.

The theory of evolution atempts to address how God came into existence on the basis that time is linear.
